From Drawing to Completion
This project was a showhome for a builder. We made a push to complete this kitchen in time for a grand opening.
The builder was looking for a modern, industrial look, which was a departure from their normal offering. We agreed that a combination of Vintage Black and Rift-cut White Oak provided the perfect balance. The Wood Species was specifically selected to give a great contrast against the painted black cabinets. Brushed nickel tab-pulls for the Rift-cut White Oak provided a metallic accent, without being overstated.
In the kitchen, floating shelves are implemented to give an airy, modern feel and to showcase ornamental or everyday use items. Flip-up cabinets were added to off-set the floating shelves and add closed, functional storage to the uppers, as well as a ‘wow’ appeal. All the lowers were made as drawers to add usable, functional space to the overall kitchen. This kitchen really showcases the possibility of a beautiful, modern design without sacrificing functionality.
We were proud to execute our builder’s ideas and expectations and help them have a successful grand opening!
