Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and proficiency in operating various machining tools and equipment. As a Machinist, you will be responsible for producing precision parts and components, ensuring that all specifications are met with the highest quality standards. This role requires a commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Operating machine including grinders, lathes, mills, surface grinder, power and hand tools etc
- Read and interpret drawings from CAD/CAM blueprints and sketches
- Create drawings from written notes or reverse engineering
- Calibrate tools and machines, torquing procedures, standard repair procedures
- Prioritize tasks and be flexible to changing tasks
- Perform cost analysis of repairs or creations
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Machinist or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, CAD software, and CAM programming.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate precision measuring instruments.
- Basic math skills for calculations related to measurements and tolerances.
- Familiarity with welding techniques is a plus.
- Ability to read technical documents, blueprints, and schematics accurately.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 – $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
