Clad with Stone

From Drawing to Completion

“We created a cohesion of different materials and installed an amazing product that the clients are thrilled with.”

This is a one-of-a-kind design, heavily influenced by the client’s immigration from Africa to Canada. They wanted a mixture of warm tones, crackled glass, iron
fixtures, rugged stone and multiple woods and stains, which all needed to be meticulously layered on one another to create a harmonious home.

A cohesive flow was created while still maintaining the clients’ requirements for their three-tiered waterfall style island. For the wall cabinets on either side of the hood, cladded with stone, the clients wanted stacked glass cabinets with integral ends that were flush with the front of the doors. It was necessary to install different hinges and mounting plates so the integral finished ends would not hinder the operation of the front doors and hinges would not be noticeable behind the glass doors.
